I've been thinking about choices I made.
Those choices led me here.
Uninspired, unrestrained, lost in the middle of nowhere.

Filled up these lungs with lies and wishes instead of cleaning up the dirt.
Held tight to all my expectations instead of questioning their worth.

You held my head in your hands (I held your head in my hands) and your hopes in your heart (and my hopes in my heart). You brought me your love (I brought you my love) and I just tore it apart (and you just tore it apart).

If destiny could write us letters, concerning all our wrongs we might feel so ashamed but probably do it all again.

I've always quoted words to say „I'm sorry for this mess“ but I could neither write my own speech, nor get up the nerve to confess that it was me all along. The source, the origin, the cause.
And now I'm giving you this song instead of giving you the stars to say I'm sorry for I am sorry.
